CAAS IV is the Air Combat Command (ACC) and the Air Force District of Washington's strategic initiative to provide Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) to United States Air Force customers. The contract vehicle was awarded on November 29, 2011, to 29 prime contractors (11 full and open; 18 small business primes)—including SAIC.

Work is being performed at Air Combat Command (ACC) headquarters at Langley Air Force Base, Virginia, 13 major ACC locations (wing/bases), and additional ACC organizations with Host Tenant Support Agreements (HTSA). CAAS IV also supports the Air Force District of Washington customers, to include Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Secretary of the Air Force (SAF), and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI).

Support Tasking:

  • Management and Professional Support Services: Assistance, advice, or training for efficient and effective management and operation of organizations, activities, or systems
  • Studies, Analyses, and Evaluations:  Organized, analytical assessments/evaluations in support of policy development, decision-making, management, or administration
  • Engineering and Technical Services:  Support to the program office during the acquisition cycle by providing services such as systems engineering and technical direction to ensure the effective operations and maintenance of a weapon system or a major system, or direct support of a weapons system essential to research, development, production, operations, or maintenance of a system.
Available to: All organizations within HQ ACC, ACC bases and ACC geographically separated units, HAF, SAF, AFOSI, and AFDW/PK customers are authorized primary using activities of this contract. In addition, tenant activities located on any ACC base may utilize this contract vehicle when base contracting services are authorized as part of an approved Host Tenant Agreement (HTA). Other Air Force activities that have either an HTA with ACC AMIC or AFDW/PK, or a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with ACC AMIC are also authorized users of this contract.
